How-To Connect with Remote Access
NOTE: Currently there is a limited number of licenses installed for remote access which limits the number of simultaneous users connected.
Because of this, If you do not already have Remote Access Permission and wish to, you must speak with your supervisor and have
them apply with the helpdesk on your behalf.

 

There is more than one way to connect using remote access but the most reliable is explained below.

 

Click the button and select 'All programs / Accessories / Communications / Remote Desktop Connection'

(Note: on some systems the 'Remote Desktop Connection utility' is located under 'All programs / Accessories / Remote Desktop Connection'

 

The window shown above will appear. In the field provided, enter remote.wihd.org and click the 'Connect' button.

You will then be presented with a Remote Desktop Login Screen. There, you may login with your usual workstation credentials as
though you were in the building.
